Artist Talk & Lecture by Jane Jin Kaisen “Translations | Crossings | Specters” Abstract: Jane Jin Kaisen will address issues of translation, border crossing and spectrality in her artist talk and lecture that concerns overarching themes of memory, history, migration, and displacement. Through a presentation of selected art projects and films she will talk about her employment of experimental aesthetic forms in order to contour alternative genealogies and modes of perception that destabilize official histories and dominant representations of transnational adoption, war, militarism, and the division of Korea.
