 e storytelling. \n\nThis event will highlight alumni Robert Brill '88 and 
 Al-e McWhorter '18 as they discuss their journey into career success. Don'

 ert Brill '88 is an internationally acclaimed scenic designer and current 
 UC San Diego Theatre and Dance faculty member. A four-time Tony Award nomi
 nee\, his work spans Broadway blockbusters\, world-premiere operas at the 
 Met\, and immersive environments seen across the globe—from Hell’s Kit
 chen and Cabaret to collaborations with Disney and The Flaming Lips.\n\nAl
 -e McWhorter '18 is a production designer and art director whose career br
 idges film\, visual media\, and world-building. A UC San Diego Visual Arts
  alum and AFI-trained production designer\, she’s worked with Industrial
  Light & Magic and major brands like Coca-Cola and Honda. Al-e recently le
 d art direction for The Musical\, featured at the 2026 Sundance Film Festi
