 ta\, Professor in the Department of Family Medicine and Public Health\, Di
 vision of Epidemiology\, and Dr. Ed Junkins\, Executive Director of Studen
 t Health and Well-Being. This conversation will highlight the power of uni
 ty in addressing API health inequities and advancing social determinants o
 f health through collaboration\, advocacy\, and community-centered action.
  Together\, they will explore how collective efforts can strengthen and up
 lift API communities. Dr. Araneta will also share her research on Type 2
  Diabetes Among Asian Americans to raise awareness about novel risk factor
 s and their implications for early diagnosis\, disease mechanisms\, and un
 iquely tailored prevention and management strategies to help eliminate thi
 s complex health disparity.\n\nLunch will be provided. This event is open 
 to all UC San Diego staff\, faculty\, and students.\n\nCo-sponsored by UC 
 San Diego Student Health and Well-Being and Asian Pacific Islander Middle 
 Eastern Desi American programs and services (APIMEDA).
