Mar 24, 2021–Mar 24, 2021 from 5:00pm–6:00pm
Join us for “Full STEM Ahead: The Journeys of UC San Diego Women in Science,” our second virtual Evening of Nonconventional Wisdom event, highlighting the extraordinary achievements and experiences of our leading-edge students, alumnae, faculty and leaders.
UC San Diego consistently graduates more women in STEM fields than our peers nationally. And it’s not just our students and alumnae who stand out – groundbreaking women scientists also sit atop university ranks as professors, researchers, clinicians and administrators. True to our founding as an experimental campus by scholars who weren’t afraid to push boundaries, many women in STEM at UC San Diego have forged a nontraditional scholarly path. “Full STEM Ahead” will explore a few of their personal journeys.
About the Evenings of Nonconventional Wisdom virtual event series: Sixty years after its founding, UC San Diego continues to challenge expectations and meet society’s biggest challenges. To celebrate our 60th anniversary, we are hosting five virtual Evenings of Nonconventional Wisdom showcasing the global impacts, leading-edge research and Triton spirit that for 60 years has helped solve the great challenges of our day.
