Feb 24, 2016–Feb 24, 2016 from 3:30pm–4:30pm
Satellite imagery is the next frontier in big data. As new generations of satellites make high-resolution images of the planet available over ever shorter time intervals, researchers will be able to study changes in human activity and the natural environment at scale and in near real time. The GPS Center on Global Transformation and the Big Pixel Initiative at UC San Diego are pleased to host Nick Clinton, Ph.D., developer advocate at Google Earth Engine. Google Earth Engine is a platform for petabyte-scale scientific analysis and visualization of geospatial datasets.
