Please join Pradeep K. Khosla as we celebrate the opening of Gilman Bridge, the long-awaited new bridge connecting UC San Diego’s east and west campuses. Spanning gracefully over Interstate 5, the Gilman Bridge is one of several regional transportation projects—including the trolley and I-5/Genesee interchange—which are transforming the campus. Together, these projects will ease street traffic and parking demands, improve air quality and better connect the university with the greater San Diego community. Take part in the Gilman Bridge ribbon cutting, be one of the first to walk the new bridge and enjoy a fun community celebration suspended above the I-5.
