Counterproductive Tech War: Why State-Business Relations Matter in China

Counterproductive Tech War: Why State-Business Relations Matter in China

In this talk, Dr. Chen will discuss the changing dynamics of state-business alliances in the context of the US-China tech war. It explains how the weaponization of the technology supply chains has reshaped the interests of the state and businesses in the two countries, alienating them from each other in the U.S. and aligning them in China. The project challenges the state-centric view in studies of weaponized interdependence and the conventional static perspective on state-business relations.
