Election 2016: The Presidential Campaign and the Changing Political Landscape We are in the midst of one of the most contentious and controversial presidential elections in modern history. Join Steve Clemons, Washington editor at large for The Atlantic, as he moderates a lively discussion featuring Thad Kousser, chair and professor of political science at UC San Diego; Scott Lewis, editor of the Voice of San Diego; and Laura Fink, a professional political consultant, as they examine how this year’s presidential election is fundamentally reshaping the political process at every level of government—national, state, and local—both now and into the future. For more information, visit helenedison.ucsd.edu This conversation is being hosted in collaboration with Voice of San Diego and serves as the kickoff event for VOSD’s Politifest which takes place the following day, Saturday, September 24, at San Diego State University. Politifest is a daylong conference with multiple debates and sessions dedicated to explaining the most contentious measures on the November ballot.
