HERSTORY: The Legal History of Chinese American Women

The UC San Diego Library is pleased to present a rare look at Chinese American women’s history, told through landmark legal cases fought in supreme courts throughout the U.S. As an extension of this unprecedented exhibit, the Library is holding a lecture to delve into these untold stories of female oppression and resistance. Guest speakers include:

  • Jack Fu, senior advisor, Overseas Community Affairs Council, Taiwan
  • Chang C. Chen (Ph.D., J.D.) Curator of “HERSTORY”, law professor attorney, and former senator of Taiwan.
  • Li-Min Chang, performing artist of Taiwan living in the U.S.
  • Margaret Wing-Peterson, co-president, San Diego Chinese Women’s Association
