Pacific Leadership Fellows and former Indian Ambassador and Foreign Secretary Nirupama Rao will discuss issues confronting the world’s largest democracy, India, in her lecture. India’s emergence as an Indo-Pacific power is a given in 21st century Asia. The dynamics of her relationships with China and the U.S. are crucial determinants for defining the contours of the future of the maritime world of the Indo-Pacific and the Indian Ocean. The event will start with a talk at 4 p.m., followed by a reception at 5 p.m. Light refreshments will be served following the program.
