Prof. Gene Yeo is a Professor of Cellular and Molecular Medicine. One of his lab’s foci is understanding how gene expression is controlled at the RNA level to maintain proper functioning of cells during development and aging. Gene cofounded 2 companies: one that is applying the power of CRISPR to RNA for new therapies; and another that identifies RNA binding protein targets as a service. Inside Innovation is a presentation series featuring the latest innovative technologies developed by UC San Diego researchers. Get an inside look at what is happening in the labs, explore commercialization opportunities and inquire about licensing.
