Get ready to revolutionize your academic game! Drop in anytime during this 90-minute workshop to learn how to harness the power of UC San Diego Library resources.

Did you know everyone at UC San Diego has access to data from ICPSR, the world's largest social science data archive? With tens of thousands of studies and more than 6 million variables represented, this expansive resource is helpful for research papers, honors theses, dissertations and more.

Join us to explore data about economics, education, health, political science, sociology, and more, and learn how you can use this data to win $1000 through the ICPSR Data Communication Scholarship.

This event will include a live demo of data and resources from ICPSR and hands-on exercises for those interested in the ICPSR Data Communication Scholarship.

Topics we’ll cover:

  • Highlights of data at ICPSR
  • ICPSR Bibliography (publications that use data found at ICPSR)
  • Data training through the ICPSR Summer Program ($150k in scholarships available!)
  • ICPSR Data Communication Scholarship
  • Additional resources

Due to the Library-licensed resources discussed in the session, attendance is limited to UC San Diego affiliates.
