Feb 4, 2023–Feb 4, 2023 from 9:00am–4:00pm
Your once-a-year opportunity to explore UC San Diego's protected Kendall-Frost Marsh. Come participate in hands-on activities, as well as explore, learn about how to protect Mission Bay's wetlands and celebrate Community Climate Action Day!
The Kendall-Frost Marsh is a part of the University of California’s Natural Reserve System (NRS), a library of ecosystems throughout California representing most of the state's major habitats. The NRS offers outdoor laboratories to field scientists, classrooms without walls for students, and nature’s inspiration to all.
The marsh's integrated research and public engagement program support the City of San Diego’s Climate Action Plan to improve ecosystem resiliency and fortify wildlife habitats on the marsh.
Love your Wetlands Day 2023 is a collaboration between the UC San Diego Natural Reserve System, San Diego Audubon Society, Mission Bay Parks and California Volunteers.
