May 21, 2018–May 21, 2018 from 12:30pm–2:00pm
Negotiating and implementing effective agreements with Iran and North Korea is a vital but seemingly intractable task. There are best practices from prior agreements that present instructive lessons. Join us as John Lauder discusses these lessons from the perspective of an intelligence officer and current advisor on monitoring measures. Lauder will introduce key factors behind prior successes that are relevant to Iran and North Korea. This talk is part of the National Security Policy Speaker Series. This event is sponsored by GPS’s Korea-Pacific Program, UC San Diego’s Political Science Department’s Center for Peace and Security Studies (cPass) and the Nonproliferation Policy Education Center (NPEC).
