Set during the Thirty Years War, an enterprising woman runs a canteen to try to profit from the conflict while also caring of her three children. Translated from German, Mother Courage and All Her Children is considered the masterpiece of modernist playwright Bertolt Brecht and one of the defining plays of the twentieth century.
