Apr 18, 2019–Apr 18, 2019 from 5:00pm–10:00pm
On April 18th, the college is hosting its annual concert festival that honors the college founder, John Muir. John Muir believed in his students and had an appreciation for nature, diversity, and community. The Muirstock concert is one of the many ways that we demonstrate our college pride. It is an event that promotes community, sustainability, the environment, music and outdoor excitement. Activities include tie-dye, photo booth station, face painting, free giveaways and tacos. Students from all residential areas come together at Muir College and enjoy the fun-filled night of music and activities. This event creates a venue for students who have an appreciation for music and gets our students involved in the planning process of the concert. Muir student organizations, professional staff, House Advisors, student volunteers, UC San Diego’s community and the committee are an integral part of the event. Without any of these people the event would not be possible. Muirstock is one of the most branded events at UC San Diego and students are thrilled to tell their friends and family about how much fun, energy, and excitement this day brings. Do not forget to mark your calendars and attend an amazing student-run event!
