Navigating Funding & Grants: A Workshop for New Arts & Humanities Faculty
About this Event
This event is intended for newer faculty in the School of Arts and Humanities.
Finding funding as a faculty member can feel overwhelming, but you don't have to figure it out alone. Designed specifically for recent faculty in the School of Arts and Humanities, we will walk you through the grant-proposal process from start to finish, introduce you to the resources and support available right here on campus, and highlight key funding mechanisms and opportunities in the field.
The workshop will feature presentations by Meg Sparling, Associate Director of Research Development, and Ashley Garcia, Executive Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations, who will introduce the resources and support their teams offer. You'll also hear from a panel of faculty members and a department administrator sharing their firsthand experiences navigating the proposal process and working with the dean's office to help bring their projects to life.
It's a great opportunity to ask questions, hear real stories from your colleagues, and leave with practical knowledge you can put to use right away.
Come join us! Refreshments will be provided.
