Preparing for your Performance Appraisal
Intended for: all staff Getting the most out of your performance appraisal requires that you are as prepared as your supervisor. This session will provide instruction on the three “P’s”- preparing, participating, proposing - of your role in the performance appraisal process. Guidance will also be provided on how to write an effective self-appraisal and resources for career and professional development will be shared. Topics covered: • The UC San Diego performance management process • Understanding your role in the performance appraisal meeting • Creating an agenda for the performance appraisal meeting • Creating an effective self-appraisal
