Preventing Gun Violence: Next Steps for Academic Public Health
UC San Diego's Vice Chancellor for Research Corinne Peek-Asa, a member of the Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health (ASPPH) Gun Violence Prevention Task Force, will take part in this discussion of actions that we can take, with a focus on four core areas of intervention, including education and training, research, policy and advocacy, and practice.
Gun violence is a national public health crisis. The academic public health community has a critical role in advancing long-term solutions to this epidemic. This event is co-hosted by the ASPPH.
