Intended for: any staff The communication process involves a sender, receiver, message, and channel. However, this simplistic description significantly under-represents what is actually a very complex process. This workshop is designed to build competence in foundational communication skills through practice and reflection on practice. Topics Covered: • Understand the key elements of any communication • Discover the importance of body language, word choice and tone of voice in any communication • Learn and practice a model for making a request • Learn and practice a model for providing constructive feedback • Learn and practice a model for providing positive reinforcement • Learn and practice a model for “high stakes” communications • Learn and practice a model for communication during conflict
