Saba Zavarei is a writer, researcher and artist, and the politics of body and space are at the core of her research and practice. Working across the media of text, performance and placemaking, she explores the ways in which bodies and performative interventions contribute to the production of space and the urban condition. Her forthcoming book based on her doctoral thesis, explores how Iranian women create emancipatory spaces through transgressive everyday performances.
