Oct 24, 2024–Oct 24, 2024 from 6:00pm–8:00pm
All are welcome to join the San Diego Program Committee for an evening featuring Kimberly Prather, atmospheric chemist at the University of California, San Diego, Distinguished Professor at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, and Director of the National Science Foundation’s Center for Aerosol Impacts on Chemistry of the Environment (CAICE). She also serves as co-Director of the newly established Meta-Institute for Airborne Disease in a Changing Climate.
Professor Prather will discuss newly identified critical connections between rising pollution levels in coastal oceans and rivers and their far-reaching impacts on air quality and human health. While the ocean profoundly influences life in La Jolla, her discussion will highlight how these interactions extend beyond the local environment, carrying national and global significance for public and environmental health.
A reception will follow. We hope you will enjoy this opportunity to connect with members in the San Diego community and encourage you to extend this invitation to friends and colleagues who could contribute to the conversation.
