San Diego Union Tribune Festival of Books presented by UC San Diego

August 24 at Liberty Station, Point Loma, celebrate San Diego’s vibrant reading community and join thousands of local readers, writers and word lovers at the San Diego Festival of Books. Headlining the event is Tijuana native and award-winning author Luis Alberto Urrea. Hailed by NPR as a “master storyteller with a rock and roll heart.” He is a prolific and acclaimed writer who uses his dual-culture life experiences to explore themes of love, loss and triumph. Visit our booths in the Luce Court and join us for these panels featuring UC San Diego alumni, faculty and staff. Headline Talk: Luis Alberto Urrea ‘77 sponsored by UC San Diego Extension
