About the Presenter:
Frances Lang brings expertise in marine biodiversity, ocean literacy, environmental education, and nonprofit management. She has designed training modules, mentorship programs, and communication strategies to advance ocean education globally, drawing on behavioral science and conservation psychology to inspire action for ocean health. As Founder and Executive Director of a San Diego nonprofit, she gained extensive experience in program design, curriculum development, partnerships, and strategic planning. Frances holds a Master’s in Marine Biodiversity and Conservation from Scripps Institution of Oceanography and a BA in Environmental Studies from UC Santa Barbara. She is also a Certified Interpretive Guide, Open Water Diver, and active leader within the National Marine Educators Association.
