Feb 7, 2025–Feb 7, 2025 from 9:00am–10:00am
Join us on Feb. 7 for a critical discussion on whether Mexico should prepare for potential U.S. military strikes.
As Donald Trump continues to threaten military action against Mexican drug cartels, leading experts will analyze the feasibility, risks and diplomatic consequences of such an operation. Four experts will offer their insights on security, policymaking and organized crime: Eduardo Guerrero, security analyst; Eduardo Medina-Mora, former Mexican ambassador to the U.S.; Vanda Felbab-Brown, security scholar; and Trita Parsi, Iran foreign policy expert.
The conversation will be moderated by Rafael Fernández de Castro, director of the Center for U.S.-Mexican Studies, and Héctor Cárdenas, president of COMEXI. Don’t miss this timely discussion on the future of U.S.-Mexico security relations and how Mexico should respond to these threats.
This webinar will be conducted in Spanish. English interpretation will be available.
This public lecture series is organized by the Mexican Council on Foreign Affairs (COMEXI) and the Center for U.S.-Mexican Studies at the UC San Diego School of Global Policy and Strategy (GPS).
