Advancing HPV-Related Cancer Prevention – Identifying Needs and Prevention Opportunities

Ashvita Garg, PhD, MPH, MBBS is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Cancer Prevention and Control Program at Hollings Cancer Center at the Medical University of South Carolina, specializing in cancer epidemiology. Her research centers on the prevention of HPV and HPV-related malignancies in high-risk populations, using approaches from social epidemiology, implementation science, and community-engaged research. She is currently supported by the NCI K99/R00 Pathway to Independence Award. Her project focuses on conducting a decisional needs assessment and developing a theory-informed communication intervention to improve anal cancer screening among people living with HIV.
