“How might we help scale paid undergraduate research experiences.”

This is the challenge the Office of Research Affairs and Office of Student Affairs are trying to solve with The Design Lab.

We're bringing together students, faculty, staff and teams from across our campus to generate new ideas to expand paid undergraduate research opportunities, particularly for students who have yet to see themselves as researchers or who, by way of financial stressors, have to choose between a paid work experience and a non-paid research opportunity.

We’ll launch this program, appropriately, at the Design & Innovation Building at UC San Diego, on Tuesday, March 21 at 1pm in Room 208.

Join us, and other motivated people, to learn about our program, engage in creative activities, and help us learn about the problems you see. Our diversity of perspectives produces greater outcomes in the form of more relevant ideas that have the potential to impact the problem.
