Please join us for an in-person-only talk at the Faculty Club’s Atkinson Pavilion with Harvey Fineberg, Global Leadership Fellow and former president of the National Academy of Medicine, on the relationship between science and philanthropy.
What is the current landscape for funders in the global health space? Fineberg will discuss the role of philanthropy giving in science, drawing on his experience in public health and as the president of the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation, where he leads an organization focused on advancement of scientific discovery to promote better outcomes for future generations.
This public lecture series is organized by the Peter F. Cowhey Center on Global Transformation at the UC San Diego School of Global Policy and Strategy (GPS). For more information on center activities, please visit ccgt.ucsd.edu.
