Technology Innovations in Value Supply Chain
New business models and value chains are being reshaped by the emergence of new technologies like IOT (internet of things) and blockchain (web 3.0).
Value chains of the future will be embedded within ecosystems (communities) which share hardware / software / data assets.
Many startup (emerging) companies are bringing game changing capability which has the potential to disrupt existing business models. These startups are leveraging machine learning, artificial intelligence and predictive analytics for altering how work is performed enhancing performance and delivering breakthrough outcomes.
Meanwhile, legacy enterprises need to understand and embrace such technologies and prepare for changes in their organization.
Leadership qualities required and the profile of successful teams in the technology disrupted world have changed as well. Leaders have to not only embrace data and technology but use it to gain advantage impacting company’s bottom-line.
