How have cuts in federal funding, the elimination of “diversity” initiatives, and the attacks on research related to equity, race, gender, sexual orientation, and many other topics, affected Black Studies and Black scholars? What are the short and long-term research consequences across multiple disciplines? This marquee event will feature a panel of experts to discuss the impact of these policies on careers and entire fields, including the phenomenon referred to as “brain drain,” i.e., scholars considering leaving the US or moving into other professions.
