Ken Wilcox, former CEO of Silicon Valley Bank, discusses his book, “The China Business Conundrum,” focusing on the challenges of doing business in China. In the book, he introduces the concept of “one bed, two dreams,” reflecting the differing goals of Western and Chinese joint venture partners. Wilcox shares his bank’s entry into China, noting the Chinese Communist Party's control and strict regulations. Despite these hurdles, he emphasizes the mutual benefits of U.S.-China interdependence.
