Japan has long been a center for excellence in life science, and many innovative therapeutic modalities were invented there. A strong uptick in entrepreneurship is now adding further momentum to this trend, including university-based startups. Taka Kiyoizumi, MD, PhD, MBA, is a San Diego-based angel investor and life science business veteran. He will discuss the ongoing transformation and current life sciences startup activity in Japan.
