Oct 25, 2022–Oct 25, 2022 from 5:30pm–7:30pm
All organizations have work that no one wants -- low impact assignments like proofreading documents, onboarding new staff, or screening interns. Women are disproportionately asked - and expected - to do this “non-promotable work,” leaving them overcommitted and underutilized as companies forfeit revenue, productivity, and top talent.
Co-author of The No Club, and Andrew W. Mellon Professor of the Department of Economics at the University of Pittsburgh, Vesterlund will explain what non-promotable work is, how and why it affects women disproportionately, and what we can do to make smarter decisions about the work we take on. She will also address how organizations and managers can examine and change the way they assign and reward work.
The talk will start at 5:30 PM with a reception and book signing to follow.
First 150 guests will receive a free copy of the book (must RSVP).
