May 31, 2018–May 31, 2018 from 5:00pm–6:30pm
In this rare presentation, Peter Humphrey will provide an eyewitness account of how his due diligence and anti-fraud work for international businesses hit the buffers when he and his partner and wife Yingzeng Yu were imprisoned for two years in Shanghai on charges of illegally obtaining private information. He will describe the ordeal of the Humphrey family in the hands of China’s public security bureau and judicial system, and the legal risk of doing business in China. This is Humphrey’s first lecture at an American university since he and his wife were released from prison in June 2015.
