Tour of Photographs Taken in San Diego's Native American Communities in the Early 20th Century

You are invited to a UC San Diego Oceanids’ Campus Focus event, Sunday, October 27, 2019, 11:00 a.m. at UC San Diego Peterson Hall. Take this guided tour of AKWAY NYEWA’A: Coming Back Home - reproductions of photographs taken in San Diego’s Native American communities at the beginning of the 20th century. The tour will be led by Maryann Callery, an honorary fellow of Thurgood Marshall College, and Dr. Ross H. Frank, Ethnic Studies, UC San Diego. Meet at the benches at the entrance of Peterson Hall on Muir Lane (across the street from the Faculty Club Parking Lot). There is no charge for this tour; an optional no-host lunch at Pines follows.
