DESCRIPTION:Triton CORE clinicians will provide training designed to help f
 aculty and staff clearly recognize when a student may be in crisis\, respo
 nd effectively and compassionately in real time\, and facilitate a warm ha
 ndoff to appropriate on-campus urgent mental health services. Crises may i
 nclude students expressing thoughts of self-harm or suicide\, engaging in 
 concerning behaviors\, neglecting basic needs such as eating or attending 
 class\, or demonstrating a noticeable change in mood\, behavior\, or funct
 ioning that affects academic performance. The training will also address t
 he impact of secondary trauma on faculty and review practical self-care st
 rategies following difficult or high-intensity student interactions.
