UC San Diego will honor African American history with events throughout February. The annual tradition will kick-off Feb. 1 and culminate the Black History Scholarship Brunch from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Feb. 25, 2017 in the Price Center Ballroom. The name of the keynote speaker for the brunch will be released later this month. Previous keynote speakers include Giancarlo Esposito, the Emmy Award-nominated actor whose credits include “Breaking Bad;” and Danny Glover, filmmaker, activist and actor known for roles in “Lethal Weapon” and “The Color Purple.” The theme for this year’s Black History Month events on campus is “The Crisis of Black Education: UC San Diego Improving the Pipeline for Academic Success.” For more information, click here.
