UC San Diego Helen Edison Lecture Series Presents Katherine Boo
Steve Clemons of the Atlantic will converse with MacArthur Genius Grant recipient and Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Katherine Boo. Her bestseller, “Behind the Beautiful Forevers” tells the dramatic and sometimes heartbreaking story of families striving for a better life in a Mumbai slum based on three years of uncompromising reporting, putting a human face on issues of inequality. San Diego Central Library @ Joan Λ Irwin Jacobs Common is located at 330 Park Blvd. Parking and walking entrance are at the corner of 11th Avenue and K Street. 2 hours parking with validation.
