The UJIMA Black History Month Scholarship is an award given annually to currently enrolled, full-time undergraduate students at UC San Diego, who submit work that recognizes the academic and creative achievement of African Americans, their history and culture through a research paper, publicly presented creative work, or presentation. In addition, all applications require a faculty recommendation and completed supplemental questions (which are both part of the online application). The application portal for the scholarship opens Saturday, November 30, 2019 (Fall Quarter 2019, Week 9), and closes Friday, January 24, 2020 (Winter Quarter 2020, Week 3). To apply, visit https://ucsd.academicworks.com/opportunities/2920. Please direct questions to Chelsea Richardson at crichardson@ucsd.edu or Michele Ojeda at mlojeda@ucsd.edu.
