World Bee Day: Native Bees in a Changing World and How You Can Help

World Bee Day: Native Bees in a Changing World and How You Can Help

When you hear the word “bee,” what kind of insect comes to mind? Have you ever been asked to “help save the bees” and wondered how you can make a real impact? World Bee Day – celebrated in 2024 on Monday, May 20 – was designated by the United Nations to raise awareness of the importance of pollinators and the threats they face. We will explore the natural history of native bees, the struggles they face in this rapidly changing world, and how every individual can contribute to their continued survival.
