UC San Diego's Scripps Coastal Reserve include coastal sage scrub, coastal canyon and bluff, sandy beach, rocky intertidal, submerged coastal plain and deep submarine canyon habitats. This Reserve is one of 42 UC Natural Reserves across California that serve university-level teaching, research, and public service.
