"Becoming" is an operatic VR experience based on a Persian poem by Mowlana Rumi depicting the evolution of human spirit. The audience experiences visual, auditory and tactile impressions curated and generated in response to the player's actions.

The UC San Diego Library and Chinese Studies Program are co-hosting this year’s Chinese Calligraphy Workshop with special guest Joan Yin from the San Diego Botanic Garden. The workshop will be divided up into two sessions: 1-2 p.m. and 2-3 p.m.
