The UC San Diego Library is hosting Ebb and Flow: Giant Kelp Forests through Art, Science and the Archives, an exhibit curated by Oriana Poindexter ’15, Scripps Institution of Oceanography (SIO) alumna and artist, through July 7, 2024.
Birch Aquarium presents Hold Fast, an immersive art installation that explores our local kelp forests and climate change through the lens of local artists and scientists using unique skills and talents to take climate action. Included with admission.

The UC San Diego baseball team hosts UC Riverside for a three-game series beginning at 6 p.m., Thursday, March 28 at Triton Ballpark. Friday’s start is at 2 p.m., followed by Saturday’s 1 p.m. final. Tickets are available. ESPN+ will stream the game.

Born and raised in Monterrey, Mexico, Sonia De Los Santos exudes the joy she sings about. (Latin Grammy Nominee) and Esperanza. Singing in both Spanish and English, Sonia’s music is inspired by various Latin American rhythms like son jarocho, cumbia and salsa, as well as the North American folk traditions from the United States. It’s hard not to smile when she’s sharing some of her favorite things—migrating birds, friendship, chocolate, and anecdotes about growing up in Mexico and realizing her childhood dream of moving to New York.
